cAMP-dependent protein kinase A (PKA) inhibitor.
PKI (5-24), also known as PKA inhibitor (5-24), is a potent (Ki 2.3nM) competitive synthetic peptide inhibitor of cAMP-dependent protein kinase A (PKA) derived from the active domain of the naturally-occurring heat-stable inhibitor protein PKI. PKI (5-24) is only a very weak inhibitor of cGMP-dependent protein kinase (PKG).
