CGRP (8-37) (rat) is a truncated version of calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP) that binds to the CGRP receptor with similar affinity and acts as a competitive and highly selective CGRP1 receptor antagonist. CGRP (8-37) (rat) possesses hypothermic and antinociceptive effects and can abolish mechanical and thermal allodynia in chronic central neuropathic pain models.
