[Arg8]-Vasopressin
£55.00 1mg
Vasopressin receptor agonist.
[Arg8]-Vasopressin is an antidiuretic hormone of hypothalamic origin found in most mammalian species, which is an endogenous agonist for all three subtypes of vasopressin receptor, V1A, V1B and V2. [Arg8]-vasopressin is an important regulator of fluid and electrolyte homeostasis through its anti-diuretic action on the kidney, and is involved in vasodepression and also acts as a neurotransmitter at synapses in the brain where it is involved in cognitive functions including memory.
