Selective alpha-v beta-6 (v6) integrin antagonist.
A20FMDV2 is a peptide derived from the foot-and-mouth disease virus with a high affinity and selectivity for the alpha-v beta-6 (v6) arginyl-glycinyl-aspartic acid (RGD)-binding integrin, inhibiting alphavbeta6-ligand binding with a IC50 of 3 nmol/L, an activity 1,000-fold more selective for alphavbeta6 than for other RGD-directed integrins (alphavbeta3, alphavbeta5, and alpha5beta1).
