Angiotensin receptor antagonist.

Sarilesin, also known as [Sar1,Ile8]-angiotensin II, is a specific antagonist at angiotensin receptors. Sarilesin activates both the NADPH and NADH oxidases, and stimulates superoxide anion formation in vascular smooth muscle cells.
