OVA (257-264) is a class I (Kb)-restricted peptide epitope of ovalbumin presented by the class I MHC (major histocompatibility complex) molecule, H-2Kb (class I genes of the mouse MHC). OVA(257-264) is an antigenic peptide and has been used to trigger T-cell activation in immunology studies. OVA (257-264) has been used to sensitize mice to generate an asthmatic model, in the stimulation of splenocytes and for treating dendritic cells to be used as a positive control in cross-presentation studies.
