Antibacterial and antiparasitic.
Peptoids are peptide-mimicking poly-N-substituted glycines, which exhibit enhanced physiological stability and are known to have antibacterial and antiparasitic qualities. They have recently been shown to have activity against Leishmania mexicana axenic amastigotes. Nae is the N-(2-aminoethyl)glycine peptoid monomer and Nphe is the N-(phenylmethyl)glycine peptoid monomer.
