FRET substrate for caspase-1.
Mca-YVADAP-K(Dnp)-OH, or Mca-Tyr-Val-Ala-Asp-Ala-Pro-Lys(Dnp)-OH, is a highly fluorescent FRET substrate for the determination of caspase-1 (ICE) and caspase-1-like enzyme activities. Cleavage of Mca-YVADAPK(Dnp)-OH at the P1 Asp residue results in a continuous fluorescent assay which can be monitored at an emission wavelength of 392 nm. Caspase-3 (apopain, CPP-32) is only weakly active on this substrate. Mca-YVADAP-K(Dnp)-OH is a specific substrate for renal ACE 2.
