Hoe 140, also known as icatibant, is a potent and selective bradykinin B2 receptor antagonist with a pA2 of 9.04. Hoe 140 also inhibits aminopeptidase N with a Ki of 9.1 μM. Hoe 140 is antinociceptive and anti-inflammatory in a number of acute nociceptive animal models.
