CXCL8 (54-72) scrambled control, also referred to as Peptide 3, is the scrambled peptide containing the wild-type amino acids of CXCL8 (54-72) in random order for use as a control. CXCL8 (54-72), is the C-terminal CXCL8 peptide fragment corresponding to the core CXCL8 – glycosaminoglycan (GAG) binding region which binds to GAG during neutrophil recruitment to reduce neutrophil adhesion and migration during the inflammatory response.
