Cortistatin 14
£125.00 1mg
Endogenous somatostatin like neuropeptide.
Cortistatin 14 is an endogenous neuropeptide that has structural and functional similarities to somatostatin 14. Cortistatin 14 shows potency at all five somatostatin receptors (sst1 – sst5) and prevents somatostatin 14 from binding to them (IC50 values are 5, 0.09, 0.3, 0.2 and 0.3 nM at sst1, sst2, sst3, sst4 and sst5 receptors respectively). Cortistatin 14 has neuronal depressant and sleep-modulating properties and co-exists with GABA within the cortex and hippocampus. Cortistatin 14 also binds with much lower potency to the ghrelin and ?MRGPRX2 receptors.
